Council for Donation of Organs and Tissues (C-DOT)

Established in 1989, C-DOT is a local coalition that promotes organ and tissue donation at various events throughout the year. C-DOT is affiliated with the national coalition and supports the national campaigns held to increase the awareness of organ and tissue donation. C-DOT members include:

Transplant Awareness Organization (TAO)

TAO, formerly TRIO (Transplant Recipient International Organization) is a group comprised of transplant recipients, people awaiting a transplant, donor family members, and staff from FLDRN and Rochester Eye and Human Parts Bank (REHPB). They provide support for each other along with educational activities and participate in many organ and tissue donation awareness activities throughout the year. TAO meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month.

Transplant Awareness Group (TAG)

TAG (formerly TRIO) of Central New York, is dedicated to increasing public awareness of the importance of organ and tissue donation, to providing support to transplant recipients, candidates and donor families and to disseminating the latest information about transplantation, medication, and legislation. Members of the group include transplant recipients and candidates, their families, donor families, transplant professionals and others interested in donation and transplantation. The group holds a monthly support meeting at the Log Cabin Building on the New York State Fair Grounds. For more information, call 315-422-6781.

Donor Family Network

The Donor Family Network offers support, friendship, and understanding from families sharing a similar experience. They hold monthly support group meetings in the Syracuse area. For more information, call 1-877-DONORFAM.

Rochester Eye &Tissue Bank (RETB)

RETB coordinates the recovery of eye and tissue donation in part of the FLDRN service area. For more information, visit www.rehpb.org.

Central New York Eye Bank (CNYEB)

CYNEB coordinates eye recovery in the Syracuse and Central New York area.

American Red Cross Tissue Services - Syracuse
